§ 20.84.040. City Department Head—Authority.

  • The City Department Head with authority and responsibility for a Program or Project that may create a Displaced Person, is authorized, with respect to such Program or Project, to:

    A.

    Implement this chapter and any federal, state, or local relocation assistance statute, law, ordinance, rule, regulation, or order applicable to each such program or project that is subject to the Department Head's authority;

    B.

    Ascertain the eligibility for and amount of benefits to be paid each applicant;

    C.

    Give all notices required or authorized to be provided by this chapter;

    D.

    Maintain records (including records of delivery and service of notices) of the activities by or for the Department pertaining to relocation assistance and relocation assistance claims for each Program or Project under the Department Head's authority. The Department Head may delegate such authority to such Person as each City Department Head may authorize.
