§ 20.60.124. Reports of supplies on hand—Sale or transfer of surplus

  • A.

    All Departments shall maintain records showing stocks of Goods on hand awaiting use. When any Goods are found to be surplus or no longer of use to any Department, the Director may transfer it to another government agency that has need for it, subject to adjustment between the agencies concerned. The Director may sell all Goods not needed or unsuitable for Department use; provided, that, any such sale shall be based on competitive bids in the same manner required for purchases unless the Director determines competitive bidding to be impracticable.

    B.

    Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, the Director, the Director of the Department of Human Services, and the Director of the Department of Neighborhoods may dispose of surplus computer equipment in accordance with Ordinance 119145 as it now exists or as it may hereafter be amended.
